Schwab Client Web Access Instructions

If you Would Like to Sign Up for Schwab Online Access...

We have developed a listing of steps to follow in the event you would like to be able to monitor your Charles Schwab account online.

1. Go to www.client.schwab.com in order to gain access to your Schwab accounts. Please note, you must sign up on the website first, there is not an option to sign up on their app. (Remember that you should NOT do a web search for Charles Schwab because there could be fake websites offered, and then once you are on the correct site, be sure to bookmark it so you can get to it easily next time.)

2. Click the sign up as a "New User" link below the login area and press start.  You will need to have your Schwab account number from your statement, your birthdate and Social Security Number, as well as the phone number that was used to set up your account initially. Then they will call or text you with a code to verify your identiy. Then you choose your login ID (your username), your password, and your security question.

3. Next, you will need to decide if you want to do a 2-step verification which adds an extra layer of security by entering your password and a security code that is sent to your phone. If so, your choice for frequency is to do this every time you login or only when you are signing on from a new device. For 2-step verification, this can be done through the Schwab app or text message.

4. If you choose to install the app, search for "Schwab Mobile" at the app store and login using the same credentials you already created on their website.
