Client Appreciation Events
We were honored to have our special Platinum clients join us for a cooking class at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Le Jeune Chef in Williamsport, PA in March 2023. The chef taught us how to prepare Pepper-Crusted Tenderloin with a red wine sauce plus roasted new potatoes and grilled asparagus. Wow, it was a true culinary delight! Besides being delicious, it was a really fun evening for all who were able to attend this beautiful facility.
Everyone certainly had a groovy time, at our 70's themed Client Appreciation Banquet of 2022. It was held at the Barn at Frosty Valley and one can't think of that decade without so many great songs, albums and artists. (And yes, we did have Jello salad as an appetizer!) We couldn't believe how many clients got down on the dance floor with the local 60's and 70's band, the New Individuals, playing live. And we all enjoyed a slideshow of Lynn over the years as this marked his last banquet before his retirement! It was far out...
For the 2022 Client Advocate Club event, we offered a super fun evening right here in Bloomsburg, PA. Clients who had referred others who had come in to Appelman Financial for a consultation were invited to this exclusive event. Guests were able to stop by the delectable Brennan's Big Chill for a sweet treat and then head over to the Alvina Krause Theater for Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble's production of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe".
In March of 2022, we were able to hold our annual New Client Dinner 2022 in its usual time slot. As always, it was lovely to be in a smaller setting with our most recent clients and better get to know them over dinner. And wow, the prime rib was delicious at the Iron Fork Restaurant at Frosty Valley in Danville, PA!
Yeehaw! It was such an honor to be able to hold our annual Client Appreciation Banquet 2021 at the Barn at Frosty Valley in early November 2021. We didn't get to host the event last year, but we made up for it this year... We invited so many clients that we had to make it a two night event this time around. It was a very fun, Western theme and our clients happily dressed the part. We even had a miniature horse visit and country line dancers perform!
We have had so much fun with "Without a Cue Adventures" from the Philadelphia area, that we teamed up with them for a third murder mystery event. For our Client Advocate Club 2021 members, we sent a special invitation requesting their presence at the show "Slaying at the Sapphire Club". The evening was held at the Links at Hemlock Creek with Craft Catering. It was a full house for the interactive show where our clients were able to be part of the cast. And at the end, clients had the opportunity to vote who they thought was the killer and why, and then a winning entry was selected. It was definitely a successful and fun event. * For anyone interested in attending our exclusive Client Advocate Club next year, just remember that all you need to do is pass on the name of a prospective client who then needs to come in for their free, no obligation consultation with Lynn or Alissa!
Although usually held in the late winter, we hosted a lovely New Client Dinner 2021 on a beautiful summer night at the Links at Hemlock Creek with Craft Catering in July 2021. There were 50 recent clients that were able join us to learn more about Appelman Financial and spend time with us in a smaller group. We feel so blessed to have such fun, kind and interesting clients.
Since our food truck event went so well last year, we decided to do it again! This time we offered a Client Appreciation Barbecue Dinner event working with the delicious Tripps BBQ of Weatherly, PA plus yummy funnel cakes from Incredible Popcorn of Bloomsburg, PA. It was a beautiful day in mid May 2021 and we had a big tent set up so people could get out of the sun, or they could bring their dinners home to go if they preferred. We had a wonderfully fun and safe outside event and we were overwhelmed by the response. It was so nice to visit with our clients again!
Feeling sad that we were unable to host any of our usual client appreciation events, we hosted a unique Ice Cream Social...Social Distancing event in August of 2020. We invited Dida's Incredible Edibles of Nescopeck, PA to set up behind our office so clients could come and go throughout an afternoon and early evening to grab an ice cream on us. It was truly a real treat to be able to share a scoop and some sunshine with our clients because we sure do miss them!
For the 2020 New Client Dinner, we hosted another lovely event at The Iron Fork Restaurant at Frosty Valley in Danville, PA in February before the quarantine. It is a great way to learn about our newest clients and their guests by sharing dinner in a smaller setting than our much bigger Client Appreciation Dinner in the fall. Without a doubt, the majority of our new clients are coming from word of mouth from our current clients--it makes us so appreciative that our clients not only choose us to help them reach their financial goals, but that they are also entrusting us to take good care of their friends and family.
Our 2019 Client Appreciation Dinner was held at Halloween so picking our theme was easy--this was by far our most "Spooktacular" event ever! It was also the first time Appelman Financial hosted something at the Barn at Frosty Valley. We had creepy appetizers, fun drinks like Zombie Punch and a delicious meal--plus, even their servers were dressed in costume too. We listened to a terrific playlist in the background and our night was capped off with a costume contest. Thanks to all our clients who were able to attend and help add to our bewitchingly good time.
What a beautiful evening on the Susquehanna we had for our 2019 Client Advocate Club in July. We enjoyed our trip on the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat and a delectable and professionally served dinner catered by the Watson Inn. It may have been hot outside, but the sky was clear and the river was calm and beautiful. If you wish to join us for a special event in 2020, kindly refer someone who comes in for a consultation and you can be a member of the club too!
For our exclusive 2019 Platinum Client Event, we hosted a live cooking demonstration at the Rustic Kitchen in the casino at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes Barre, PA. How fun to watch host Kim McLendon prepare our delicious surf and turf meal...and we all learned a lot too! Touted as one of the best client appreciation events we have ever hosted, we are so glad we got to share this entertaining and scrumptious event with our highest tier of clients.
We had a wonderful time at our fist event at the Iron Fork at the Frosty Valley Country Club in Danville, PA. Held during the beginning of February, we enjoyed a nice-size crowd at our 2019 New Client Dinner so we could really get to visit with folks who became Appelman Financial clients over the last year.
Without a doubt, Appelman Financial hosted it's largest annual Client Appreciation Banquet in the beginning of November 2018. The Pine Barn Inn helped us put on a 1950's Sock Hop for 180 clients and their guests. There was Doo Wop music, fountain sodas, and poodle skirts galore as we enjoyed a delightful dinner together. Our guests loved the candy bar and a fun photo booth as we rocked around the clock!
Last year for our Client Advocate Club Outing 2018, we invited clients who had referred someone who came in for a consultation to an exclusive event. In August, we had a savory brunch at the Rolling Pines Golf Course catered by Lucy's Kitchen & Catering. Then we visited Bill's Old Bike Barn together to look around...there was so much to see it would be hard to pick a favorite item! ***If you are interested in becoming part of our Client Advocate Club, just remember you need to refer someone and they need to come in for an initial consultation. So put your thinking caps on and refer your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers because this year will be just as fun!***
Nothing like eating a good meal...and learning how to make it! Our 2018 Platinum Client Cooking Class was a delicious event held at the Pine Barn Inn during the end of April and again the beginning of May. It was an educational and culinary event all at the same time. We are so glad some of our top tier clients could join us for the fun.
Our clients have been having so much fun at the O Li Ran Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse in Bloomsburg that we hosted our 2018 New Client Dinner at that location again. For mid-February, we invited folks who had become clients during 2017 to a dinner out. Being on a smaller scale, we love when our office team gets to really visit with our clients in such a fun setting.
A roaring good time was had by all in attendance at our 2017 Client Appreciation Dinner at the lovely Pine Barn Inn in Danville, PA. With music of the 1920's filling the room, we enjoyed fun custom mocktails, a photo booth, and a candy buffet of old-time candy. It was a sweet way to spend the night out with some of our clients. This was our biggest client banquet yet!
Appelman Financial was pleased to announce our 2017 Client Advocate Club's special outing. This past August, clients who made referrals during the year were "All Aboard" to take a ride on the Tioga Central Railroad out of beautiful Wellsboro, PA. It is considered Pennsylvania's Most Scenic Excursion Railroad and we all enjoyed our sunset dinner on the train. The beautiful weather in combination with the gorgeous views made the evening a real treat.

In early February 2017, we held our New Client Dinner at the O Li Ran Japanese Hibachi Steak House in Bloomsburg, PA. Besides the delicious food, the chefs were very entertaining and we were excited that some of our clients were seeing hibachi cooking for the first time!
The annual Client Appreciation Dinner for 2016 had a lovely Caribbean theme right down to an authentic steel drummer! In November, we enjoyed the beautiful steel drum soloist from Oasis Island Sounds of Washington, DC. Danville PA's Pine Barn Inn outdid themselves with the sweet and spicy flavors of the islands - who wouldn't like some Jamaican Jerk Pork, Coconut Curry Chicken, and Cod Fillets in Lobster Sauce! A big thank you to the over 150 clients and their guests who joined us for the relaxing evening out!
What a great way to spend a beautiful summer night...at a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton RailRiders baseball game with a fun dinner buffet and a fantastic fireworks show. This terrific Client Advocate Club outing in August 2016 was only open to our clients who had recommended friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to Appelman Financial. If you want to be included in our exclusive CAC events, make sure you are spreading the word about our office and the range of products and services we can provide!
The 2016 Platinum Client Dinner was held at the lovely Barn at Boone's Dam in Bloomsburg, PA at the end of March. This event is a special dinner opportunity just for our highest tier of clients. The welcoming feeling of the barn coupled with a delicious Italian buffet made the evening very enjoyable. We would like to thank the 60 clients and their guests who were in attendance for making this such a successful event!
Appelman Financial hosted its 5th Annual New Client Dinner at Seidel's Mardi Gras in Danville, PA in February 2016. We really enjoy having our most recent clients join us in a more intimate setting than at our annual client appreciation dinner in the fall. Mardi Gras was our theme and we were right about on time. As a thank you for becoming a customer of Appelman Financial during 2015, we were glad we could invite so many new clients to celebrate this fun occasion with us!
The Appelman Financial Client Appreciation Dinner was a wonderful hit again in 2015 at the lovely Pine Barn Inn in Danville, PA. In November, we hosted an Asian-themed evening with Chinese performers from New York City - Peter Tang's Chinese Ensemble played centuries-old instruments which created an authentic atmosphere. Our menu included Sesame Chicken, Beef Stir Fry, and Sweet and Sour Pork and it was absolutely delicious. We so enjoyed sharing our evening with close to 200 clients!
Our Client Advocate Club Outing was a relaxing evening out on the Susquehanna River enjoying the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat. Our amazing event was in the beginning of August 2015 and we could not have asked for nicer weather. Our dinner was catered by the Watsontown Inn and it was absolutely delicious!
Without a doubt, the most fun event that Appelman Financial ever hosted was our recent free community concert by the very talented Mahoney Brothers! The first half of the concert was their Jukebox Heroes Live during which they kept coming out as different musical icons (including Elvis!) and the second half was all Beatles with songs that spanned their career. Our office feels very appreciative of this close knit community and the wonderful residents we encounter. As a special thank you, Appelman Financial wanted to have a free concert for Bloomsburg where clients and community members alike could enjoy some good old rock & roll music! And they certainly came out to join us as we had standing room only for our special concert on June 20, 2015! Thank you to the Bloomsburg community for supporting our Financial Planning office for over 30 years! Here is a picture from the Press Enterprise the next day.
