| Lynn C. Appelman A native of Bloomsburg, Lynn Appelman graduated from Bloomsburg High School and attended Bloomsburg University. Originally operating out of his home, he has had a local Financial Planning office since 1983. He received his Certified Financial Planner™ designation from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado; his Chartered Financial Consultant® designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; and his Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designation from Institute for Divorced Financial Analysts (IDFA) in Southfield, Michigan. Lynn works with the broker dealer firm of Trustmont Financial Group, an investment advisory and brokerage holding corporation which has over 175 representatives and is licensed in over 30 different states. Trustmont has been in business since 1986 and has over 10,000 clients, and was voted as one of Pittsburgh’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies by the Pittsburgh Business Times for the last several years with Trustmont Advisory Group ranking as number 76 for 2010. Lynn is a licensed tax preparer and has been quoted as a Financial and Tax Planning expert in the Press Enterprise and the Daily Item. Recently, he was quoted on-line in a blog by the Dow Jones. He has taught seminars in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania in the areas of Retirement and Tax Planning. He has been married to his wife, Sally, for 35 years and has 2 children, Amanda, living at home; and Alissa Conklin. He is also the proud Poppy of 6 grandchildren. He is very involved with the non-profit organization of Pheasants Forever and serves as the local chapter’s Banquet Chairperson and the Treasurer for the state chapter. |
| Alissa L. Conklin Alissa Conklin started working with her father part-time at Appelman Financial while still in high school. After her graduation in 1999, she started working full-time as the Office Manager. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg Christian School and attended Penn College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. She acquired her securities license in 1999 as an Account Executive, became a Registered Paraplanner in 2001 through the College for Financial Planning, and became a Registered Investment Advisor through Trustmont Financial Group in 2005. She processed home mortgages from 2002-2008, and has been preparing both federal and state income taxes since 2003. Alissa is currently working on completing her course work to obtain her Chartered Financial Consultant® designation, and her Accrediated Tax Preparer designation. Alissa works with the broker dealer firm of Trustmont Financial Group, an investment advisory and brokerage holding corporation which has over 175 representatives and is licensed in over 30 different states. Trustmont has been in business since 1986 and has over 10,000 clients, and was voted as one of Pittsburgh’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies by the Pittsburgh Business Times for the last several years. She and her husband, Brad, have a six year-old daughter and five two year-old boys! She enjoys being involved in her church's children's programs. |
| Karin Webber Seeley Karin Seeley started working with Appelman Financial in January of 2006, upon re-entering the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom of two small children. She graduated with honors from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor’s degree in History. She has extensive experience in customer service and office management. Karin worked for five years at a regional processing center for Colonial/Nationwide Insurance in Hagerstown, Maryland, where she worked in both the underwriting and claims departments for auto insurance. She also worked for five years at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where she coordinated the federal Off-Campus Work-Study program from the Office of Volunteerism and Employment. She and her husband, Brett, have lived in the Bloomsburg area since 1999. |
| Laurie A. Jones Laurie Jones was new to Appelman Financial as of September 2010. She graduated Cum Laude from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. Laurie served as the Tax Collector for Rush Township and the Danville Area School District for 16 years. Prior to that she was a Bookkeeper/ Office Assistant for six years at a local advertising firm. She has also worked as an Income Tax Preparer for a short time. Laurie and her husband are busy raising five children on a farm in the Danville area. |




| Katelyn E. Fenstemaker Katelyn Fenstemaker began working at Appelman Financial in March 2012. She is a recent graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She graduated with a major in marketing and a minor in management. Katelyn has extensive experience in customer service acquired while working part-time during college. While in college, she participated in many clubs and volunteer activities such as the American Marketing Association, Relay for Life, Colleges Against Cancer, and the Helping Others Club. She also coached Odyssey of the Mind at Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary for 2nd to 5th graders. Katelyn currently lives in Bloomsburg with her dog, Bayley. |
